Thatch Attack & Wy Guy!

Last Wednesday Thatcher took his very first flight! He did amazing!! Thatcher and I flew up to visit with Scott, Lisa and Wyatt and Jimmy met us up there on Thursday. We has such a fun time, we were sad to go. Our trip went by too fast, but I am happy to say that it will only be a week before we get to see the Zaballos family again!

Wednesday was our travel day, and as I said Thatcher did amazing on his first flight! He slept the whole entire time and did not make a peep! We were greeted at the airport by sis and Wy. Wyatt is so cute when he sees Thatcher. He gets the biggest smile on his face and starts making lots of noise and tries to touch Thatch. It is so sweet. It warms my heart. They will be the bestest of buds. We collected our bags and then headed off to lunch. We went to chipolte for lunch and then went home so the boys could take their naps. After the boys naps Lisa's mother in law Debbie came by to meet Thatcher. While Debbie was there we all watched Wy scoot around in his kiddie pool. It was so cute! He's getting so grown up it blows my mind! Later that evening Scott came home from work and we ate yummy Taco Salad for dinner. After dinner sis and I gave Thatch a bath and then put the boys to bed. Lisa then introduced me to the show Friday Night Lights, which I have officially become addicted to.

Thursday morning we got up and hung around the house after breakfast while the boys took their morning naps. Lisa and I got ready and when the boys woke up we went to the mall. It was really fun to go shopping together. Since we don't live in the same town it was fun to pretend for the day we did! We ate some lunch while we were out then went home for more naps for the little guys. It also ended up to be a nap for Lisa and I seeing as we fell asleep mid conversation! Later in the day Scott came home from work and Jimmy got into town. I went to pick Jimmy up from the BART station and let sis and Scott have some fun time with Thatcher. We laid pretty low Thursday night, eating dinner and bomb peach cobbler and introducing Jimmy to Friday Night Lights!

Friday after getting ready for the day we went into Livermore to go to the best fabric store ever! After wandering around the fabric store for a while we got some yummy Mexican food for lunch. After lunch we had to go to Tiffany's Cupcake for dessert. We ordered yummy cupcakes and a cookie. We ate the cookie right away and saved the cupcakes for dessert. Clearly we love dessert!! After the boys afternoon nap we decided to get the ready for Mexico by playing in the pool. At first Thatcher was not sure about the pool but he ended up loving it!! Wyatt was so cute and even tried to play with Thatch in the pool. Watching them in the pool was definitely one of the highlights of the trip. Its so sweet to see them together! When Scott got off of work we decided to go for BBQ for dinner. I have a new found love for BBQ which is slightly funny considering I'm a vegetarian; Armadillo Willy's had some bomb BBQ! I will definitely be going back there on one of my next visits. After dinner we went home put the little guys down and did some haircuts and ate our cupcakes! Yummy!!

Saturday the little guys both decided to wake up a little early. Cousins must think alike! We walked to Scott and Lisa's favorite bagel place for yummy breakfast. On our way home we saw a couple of garage sales. Jimmy and I love to garage sale so we walked over. Stopping by one garage sale turned into stopping at 4 and Scott going back to make a purchase. Scott and Jimmy going back lead them to go to more garage sales where Lisa ended up getting an amazing vintage buffet for her house! Lucky!!

Before we knew it the time had come to pack up and head home! Scott and Lisa dropped us off at the airport and before we knew it Thatch had made his second flight. He was a champ again not making a peep! He will do great next weekend on our flight to Mexico!

Scott, Sissy and Wy thank you so much for having us! We love visiting and love you guys so much!

I Love Him.

Who could resist this face?

Family Date Night

Saturday night we celebrated Fathers Day. Thatch and I took Jimmy out to curry for dinner. A few weeks ago I told Jimmy I felt like I could eat curry (the thought of eating curry during my pregnancy made me nauseous). Jimmy loves curry so he was so excited to hear that, and when I asked him what he wanted to do for Fathers Day he said go to curry! Saturday afternoon we went down to World Curry in PB and boy was it yummy!! We had a really fun time, so did Thatch Attack (he slept the whole time!). After dinner we shared shave ice from our new favorite shave ice shack here in Escondido. YUMMY! I know i'm not the father but i'm sure Jimmy would agree we had a really fun and special day!

Happy Fathers Day Jimmy!

The Lord has blessed me with an amazingly loving husband and I now get to see him be an amazing and loving dad. I am so grateful to the Lord because I get to see Jimmy display Christ's love to Thatcher everyday and I know he will continue to do so everyday for the rest of his life.

I adore watching Jimmy be a dad. This new chapter of our lives has been so fun and exciting and Jimmy has gone beyond my wildest dreams of loving our son. Every morning after Thatchers 7 a.m. feeding Jimmy and Thatch have special Dad/son time. Jimmy reads Thatch books, sings to him and the explore things around the house. It is so sweet to see. It melts my heart every morning.

Thatcher has such a good man in Jimmy to look up to. Not only are Thatcher and Jimmy twins in the way they look, I truly believe that Thatcher has Jimmy's character and personality. They are both so calm and loving. I am so excited to watch Thatcher grow up and to see him and Jimmy bond as men.

Jimmy, Thatcher and I love you so much!! Happy first fathers day!

Happy Fathers Day Dad!

I have to say I have the best Dad ever. My Dad is such a strong and amazing man. I am so blessed to have such a good and close relationship with him. My Dad works so hard for my family and his love for us is so evident. The past 7 weeks I have gotten to see my Dad in a new light....as a grandpa to my son Thatcher. He is so sweet and loving to Thatch. You should see Thatcher when my Dad talks to him. His eyes open up and he just checks everything out about my Dad. Almost every time my Dad holds Thatcher he falls asleep so cozy in his arms. It is so special to see my Dad like this. It makes me love him even more. Becoming a parent has made me have so much more love and respect for my parents. I appreciate everything that they have done for me even more.

Dad, I love you so much. I am so thankful for you.

6 Weeks!

Its been a while since I've posted a bunch of pictures of the little man and I think its about time for another photo overload! We have had a really fun couple of weeks. Thatcher turned 6 weeks on Saturday. I seriously cant believe it! Jimmy and I were saying it feels like just yesterday he was born. To be honest the whole month of May is kind of a blur, but a good blur.

We have been doing a lot of hanging out and relaxing which has been nice for the little man. He is growing right in front of my eyes..its seriously crazy! Last week Thatcher and I were very lucky to get to send some quality time with Lizzy. Lizzy and I have known each other since middle school and were even roommates a few years ago. Thatcher loves Lizzy just as much as I do, and we are bummed we don't get to see her a lot because she lives in LA. Lizzy came over on Thursday and we spent time chatting and crafting. It was just like the old days! Then Friday Lizzy and Mallory came over and we spent the whole day baking for our good friend Lauren's wedding shower! It was such a fun day of hanging out with two of my greatest friends baking and laughing!

Thatcher and I attempted to attend church only for the second time since he was born. Boy was this last week an experience! I decided to carry Thatch in my moby wrap. I figured he could sleep during church and it would be a cozy way to relax. He slept all during worship which is really amazing because it is so loud! I thought to myself "this is easy". After Jimmy was done leading worship we went and sat down in our normal seats. A few minutes into the bible study Thatch started to make his "lamb" noises as we call them. He was kind of getting loud so I stepped outside of the chapel and realized he has spit up a little which was probably why he woke up. I then took him out of my moby and just figured I would hold him for the rest of the service. As soon as we sat down he started to make a face like he was going to cough. Every once in a while he coughs a huge cough that sounds like he's getting a hairball out. I figured that was going to happen. Boy was I ever wrong. All of a sudden Thatcher projectile vomited all over himself, me, Jimmy and the chair we were sitting in. I sat there in awe, not at all knowing what to do. I had spit up all down myself. Jimmy and I both looked at each other and kind of laughed but we were in church so you can't really laugh. I quickly got up and went into the bathroom to check out what we looked like. We were a disaster. There was only a few minutes left in church so I just decided to run home and change Thatcher and myself. It was quite the experience and definitely one we will not forget. I just love that little guy, but he sure knows how to keep me on my toes!

After church we went to the mall to run a few errands and then went to my parents' house for a BBQ and to enjoy the sun. It was such a nice day it was nice to just be outside relaxing!

And now the photos can do the rest of the talking!

Twins!

Thatcher and I took Jimmy lunch while he was at work today. We are very lucky and almost everyday Jimmy comes home to have lunch with us, but today he is pastor on duty so he could not come home. Thatcher wore his flannel shirt so he could be twins with his dad (who he loves so very much!), and boy are they twins!!
