Sunny Saturday!

For the first time in a long time, Jimmy and I had nothing to do on Saturday. It was really nice. It was a sunny and beautiful so decided to go to our old stomping grounds (downtown area). We went to Hillcrest to our favorite bagel place City Bagel and got yummy breakfast bagels. Then we went downtown and walked around for a while. We went to the salon I used to work at and went window shopping at Urban Outfitters. We then walked around Horton Plaza for a little bit getting coffee and doing some more window shopping.

Then we decided to go to Balboa Park. We had some blankets in the car so we pulled them out and found a cozy spot on the grass by the botanical gardens. We laid in the sun and I took a nap. It was so nice and relaxing. After laying in the grass for a few hours we walked through the gardens and then we decided it was time to go.

We were getting pretty hungry at this point and so we went to Mission Valley and got some yummy Pat and Oscars for lunch. We still weren't ready to go home yet, so we went to Mission Valley Mall and did a little more window shopping. After walking around for while, we finally got tired and headed home.

It was a really fun day being outside just hanging out with one another. We are trying to do lots of fun activities like this before Thatch comes. But....we are so excited to meet our son!!!

Craft Day and Date Night!

On friday we decided to be crafty and work on Thatch's room. We decided a while ago we wanted to paint his room dark gray. With all of the crown molding in our house it was a big task to do alone, but Jimmy worked really hard to do an awesome paint job since I could not paint. While Jimmy was painting i decided that I would work on my project for Thatch. At the beginning of the week I bought some cute fabric to sew the blanket to go in Thatch's crib. So while Jimmy was painting I was sewing. It was my first time using batting in my craft so I was very nervous. It ended up being pretty easy and really fun!

While the paint was drying our house was getting really smelly, so we decided it would be fun to go out and do something fun. We decided to go on one of our old favorite dates. We got all bundled up in our cozy clothes and drove to the beach. We made one pit stop at Wendy's for a half chocolate half vanilla frosty and some french fries. YUMMYYY! We sat on the beach and we watched the waves and looked at the stars. It was freezing so we only lasted about 40 minutes, but it was still fun to be out doing something fun.

Here is just a sneak peak of the new paint and blanket for Thatch's room. We still have a bunch we want to do, and luckily we still have 3 months left to make his room all cozy for him. Side note, 3 months from TODAY our son will (hopefully) be here!! And a few fun photos from our beach date!

Mustache Mobile

Our son Thatcher is going to be one hip dude. Emili came up with the idea of a mustache mobile. If he is going to have something hanging over his head it might as well be some awesome mustaches.

Kitchen Table

We were bored with our kitchen table so we painted it red... we just needed a pop of color!

Some of our favorite meals!

As we flipped through our photos of the last year we noticed we took photos of some of our favorite meals. Im getting hungry just thinking about some of these!

Cinnamon Swirl French Toast with Berries

7up Cake

Chicken, Cous Cous and Asparagus (Tofu for Emili)

Jumbo Tuna Melt

Shrimp Mango Avocado Tacos

And the ever faithful Quesadillas

100 days left...ITS A BOY!

Well, we are pregnant! Jimmy and I are expecting a baby boy in exactly 100 days from now! We are so excited to soon welcome Thatcher Ace Robeson into our family. I am now 26 weeks along, as of tomorrow and have only 100 days left until we get to meet our son!

We have been having so much fun going to the doctors appointments and preparing for having a child. It has been a fairly easy pregnancy, minus the normal morning sickness until about 14 weeks. The second trimester has been so relaxing and it is so nice to have all of my energy back. I have really been enjoying sewing things for Thatch. My next project is a mustache mobile to hang above his crib. Yes, a mustache mobile.

It has been really nice having a big sister in times like these. As most of you know Wyatt is now 5 months old and I am learning so much from her about being a mom and having a baby. She is such a great mom and Wyatt is an amazing baby. I joke with my sis that she is like a baby whisperer. We are really excited for Thatch and Wy to be best buds.

There is too much to catch up on since I took a break from blogging for about six months or so. I am hoping to start blogging again on a regular basis. We took a break from the internet for a while, but we are back in action! Auntie Em has to be able to ichat with Wy!

More exciting updates on Thatcher Ace and the Robeson Family to come!
