Wyatt turns 1.

On Monday August 15th, our nephew Wyatt Scott Zaballos turned 1 year old! (Happy birthday Wy- we love you more than you know!) This past weekend Thatcher and I got to go up North to celebrate with Wyatt and the whole Zaballos family. It was so much fun and my sis did a great job planning the party!

Thursday morning my mom, Thatcher and I were dropped off at the airport for a super fun trip. We got up north around mid morning and sis and Wy picked us up. We went to the mall to kill some time before Lisa's doctors appointment. Did I mention my sis and Scott are expecting babe #2! Yay. I am going to love that munchkin so so much! We went to Lisa's doctors appointment where she and Scott found out what babe #2 is (I'll let Lisa share the exciting news on her blog of what sex the babe is.) We then went to a celebration lunch at chipolte and ate yummy sprinkles cupcakes! Thursday night we did hair and watched some FNL. Pretty much an amazing night in my opinion.

Friday we woke up and decided that we would go back to the mall to look for fun things for babe #2. We like to shop, ok? Friday my dad flew in and we picked him up from the BART station. Jimmy was not able to come up this weekend because we were just out of town the weekend before but he was there in heart.

Saturday was the big party day. We had so much fun celebrating little Wy, who I must say is absolutely a joy to be around. He smiles at you and makes you feel like you are the most special person in the world. It melts my heart. I also being the crazy auntie I am taught Wy how to do the toostie roll dance. He loved it. The party was a sandwich bar party which was such a cute idea. Super yummy and easy. Great job sis. The kiddie pool was out and the kids were having so much fun playing in it. All of Wyatt's cousins were at the party. 6 kids. It was so much fun! Saturday we went back to the mall (again, yes, I said we like to shop). After the mall we went out to sushi for dinner then went home put the little guys to bed and watched the soloist.

Sunday we went to livermore where there is a fabric store I love! I got some fabric and my sis is going to make me another hooter hider. I am going to make myself some more burp cloths. Thatcher seems to go through 12 burp cloths in two days. Crazy little guy. We went to lunch at a yummy brewery and then went home to rest. Sundays are the best for resting. Before we knew it, it was time to head off to the airport. Im always sad to say goodbye to sis, Scott and Wy. We love spending time with them.

Jimmy picked us up from the airport and Thatcher was so excited to see his dad!

T is for Thatcher & Tiger

4 Generations.

Last night Jimmy, Thatcher, and I went up to visit Jimmy's grandpa and grandma Robeson with Jimmy's dad Jim. Jimmy's grandpa's sister Joanna was in town visiting from New York and we were excited to meet her. The four of us drove up to Laguna for dinner and a really fun hang out time. It was so special to see 4 generations of Robeson Men together. Thatcher is such a lucky little guy to have so many great-grandparents around who love him so much and love to spend time loving on him!

P.S. The shirt Thatcher is wearing is 12 months. 12 months...can you believe that?! He's only three and a half months. He's just a growing little guy!

Howdy.

Jimmy, Thatcher and I are home safe from Austin. Austin is an amazing city with so much to explore. I know I say it all the time but I always forget to take pictures so I tried to take at least a few when we were exploring the city.

When we arrived on Wednesday afternoon, we were picked up by the Wahlstrom family- Stephen, Summer, Josiah and Landon. The cutest family. The two boys wanted to take us to Torchys Tacos to try some real Tex-Mex. I got a fried avocado burrito and we all got some fried cookie dough. Now, it may sound gross, but it was amazing! I wanted to go everyday. It was chocolate chip cookie dough coated in corn flakes deep fried. YUM. After lunch we went to our hotel. Thatcher was pretty tired from a long day of travel and the 106 degree temperature so we decided to stay in the hotel while Jimmy played at church on Wednesday night.

Thursday Jimmy did not have any playing commitments so the Wahlstrom's took us into Austin. We went to South Congress which is a real hip part of town. We walked around (sweating) but loving going into all of the local shops. There was a parking lot with a bunch of food trucks which was really cool to see. Food trucks were all over town, which was cool to see. We went to lunch then headed back to the hotel for some rest. We all took a nap, then the three of us went to potbelly's for dinner. YUM. I discovered pot belly's when my sister and I were in Chicago with her friends for her bachelorette party. I absolutely love potbelly's...so much so we ate there twice on our trip. Thursday night we went over to hang out at Stephen and Summers super cute house. It was nice to just hang out as all of the boys slept upstairs.

(Side note: While we were in Austin Thatcher discovered himself in the mirror. After bath time we would hold him in front of the mirror and he would talk and smile and laugh at himself. Pretty much the cutest thing I think I have ever seen. And, he discovered his fingers. Ah, he's getting so big!)

Friday morning we all met for bagels. Then we went back for Thatcher's mid-morning nap. While we were in Austin Thatcher switched from a feed every 3 hour to every 4 hour schedule. It was kind of an accident how it happened. I was going to start when we got back but it actually worked really well while we were out and about. That extra hour really makes a difference. The three of us went into the city again and walked and drove around. We went to the University of Texas. It was especially fun to go to because Lisa has gotten us addicted to Friday Night Lights and so it was fun to go where the show was filmed. (Side note- the church who invited us to Austin is located next to the school where FNL is filmed. We got to go to "Dillon High" on Sunday. It was so exciting for me). We also went to the state capitol. It was really cool to see. Friday night Thatcher and I stayed in again while Jimmy played at the worship conference.

Saturday morning Jimmy lead worship and taught a song writing class at the conference. Thatcher and I stayed at the hotel (which is when I took most of my photos from the trip) and then Jimmy picked us up for lunch. After lunch we went to the super target. It may seem weird to go to Target while in Austin but it was so fun to see all the stuff our target doesn't have! Saturday night we went out to dinner for tex-mex-polonisian food. Sounds strange yes, but also very yummy. I love food so it was fun to try new things!

Sunday we went to church and were really blessed by all of the sweet people we met. After church we went to "Dillon High" to take some pictures. It sounds weird but if you watch the show you know how awesome it was! Before we knew it, it was time to head off to the airport to come back to San Diego. We were so blessed and grateful to experience Austin and to meet such nice people. Thatcher is becoming a professional flyer. We are headed up to see the Zaballos on Thursday to celebrate Wyatt's 1st birthday. It will be Thatchers 4th flight!

Traveling Man.

Jimmy, Thatcher and I are off to Austin, TX. Jimmy will be leading worship at a conference while we are out there. The weather is supposed to be around 106 degrees while we are out there! Yikes!! This will be Thatchers 3rd trip where he has flown and he is already excited to be back in the air!

3 months.

Our little Thatcher Ace turned 3 months on Saturday... 3 whole months!!! I can not believe it. The last three months have just flown by. My little snuggly baby has become a talkative and always-moving little guy. He has brought and continues to bring so much joy and love into our lives.

3 years and counting!!!

Three years ago Jimmy and I started dating. I know many people would say, "You aren't dating anymore, you're married," but I beg to differ. I will never stop dating Jimmy. Three years ago my life changed. I started dating the man who would become my husband and also the father to my amazingly adorable son.

Life has changed so much over the last three years and I would change none of what has happened. Not only has the obvious happened- Jimmy cut his long hair off and I grew out my short hair, my name changed from Emili Andrews to Emili Robeson and we had a son. So much more has happened. I have learned to love harder and to forgive easier. I have learned what it means to have sacrificial love for someone. I have learned what it looks like to be a wife, to serve my husband above all things except my Lord and Savior. I could not have learned all of these things without Jimmy.

You see, I knew I was going to marry Jimmy the day I met him in October of 2004. He didn't realize it then, but I sure am glad he realized it on June 8, 2009 when he proposed to me. Although I knew I was going to marry Jimmy, I could have never imagined how blessed and beautiful our life would be together. I am so thankful to the Lord that He brought Jimmy and I together in his perfect time three years ago!

I sit here in awe of how much has changed in three years. I have been blessed with an amazing family. Sometimes I still can barley believe I have a family of my own. Its crazy and awesome all at the same time!
