One Month Old!!!

I can not believe my little man is already one month old!! My oh my, where did the time go? This has been the best month of my life. I have learned so much about what sacrificial love is. It is crazy, I now love my parents so much more. I love my husband so much more and I have so much more respect for my sister who is also a mother.

I feel like time has breezed past me. I look at Thatcher in awe, every day he is changing right in front of my eyes. I look at him realizing that this little human is a true gift from God. He is a gift that I will cherish forever and work my hardest to raise to be a man who follows after the Lords heart. I have so much to learn about being a mom, but I am so excited to walk through these next few years of learning and growing with Jimmy and Thatcher by my side.

Thatcher Ace, I love you so much and can not wait to see what this next month of adventures holds for us!!!

How our little guy has grown in 1 month!!

Week Four!

Ok, so after this post, the millions of photos all at once will slow down! Jimmy and I finally received our new computer this week! We are so excited to have a computer for many reasons: one, being able to keep up with my blogging and two, of course to skype/ichat with all of our friends and family who do not live in town!

This last week was a relaxing one. Thatch and I didn't really do very much. We rested a lot! It was really nice. Especially coming off of such a crazy week the week before. On Friday night Jimmy and I went out on a date. We left Thatcher with grammy and grandpa and we headed off to dinner and a movie! It was really weird to drive off without our little man but we knew that he was in good hands! We went to Sammy's for dinner and then went to see "Something Borrowed" per my sisters recommendation. I loved it! I read the books (thanks Lizzy for referring them to me when we lived in ken-town...remember?) It was a really nice evening just talking and enjoying each others company!

Saturday we laid low again. We went for a walk across the Lake Hodges bridge and then sat in the shade at a park. It was a nice little outing on a beautiful day! We had a relaxing night at home playing UNO and enjoying tofu tacos! Yummy!! On Sunday Thatcher and I made it to church for the first time since he was born. It was really good to be back at Resonate. Thatcher went right to sleep to the sound of his dad rocking out! It was really sweet.

Week Three!

Ok, so I know i have been a little photo crazy with these last few posts but hey, I'm a new mom, ok? I love to take photos of Thatcher all day while we hang out. I'm sure as time goes on the photos will slow down, but for now bear with me and enjoy the photos of the little man! I mean he will only be this little once in his life!

Thatcher's third week of life was a busy week! We hung pretty low on Monday - Wednesday. Monday night Thatcher got his first big-boy bath!! He loved it so much he slept through the whole thing. It was pretty hilarious. Jimmy and I were so excited to give him a real bath and see his facial expressions and then he slept through the whole thing! Well, I guess that's better than crying the whole time!!

On Thursday we drove up to Murrieta for Sharrah's bible college graduation. I have to say I was a little nervous as this was Thatch's first big outing as it was one where he was going to need to be quiet during the ceremony. He was such a champ, I had no need to worry. He sat in his Moby Wrap and just looked around quiet-as-could-be during the whole ceremony! Great job Thatch... and Sharrah congrats on graduation!

On Friday we took another mini road trip so Thatcher could meet his great-grandpa and great-grandma Robeson. This was a very special visit for everyone because this is grandpa and grandma Robeson's first great-grandchild and he is going to carry on the Robeson name. It was a very proud and special moment for grandpa Robeson. Grandma Robeson made us yummy lunch and we enjoyed the afternoon talking and enjoying each others company! Sadly we forgot to take a picture of Thatch with grandpa and grandma Robeson. That just means we will have to go back up for another visit soon!

After we went up to the Robeson's we stopped by Phil and Mal's house on the way home. They are our very dear friends and they were going out of town for a few days so we wanted to stop by to say goodbye. We are very grateful for their friendship in our life!

On Saturday we woke up and went to Panera for breakfast and then went to a friends wedding. It was Thatcher's first wedding and he was a champ again! We are so blessed with a very calm and peaceful baby!!

Sunday we decided to lay low again after Jimmy got home from church since we had such a busy week! And now more pictures of the little man who has stolen my heart!

Week Two!

Our second week home with Thatch, Jimmy went back to work. We are really grateful that Jimmy gets Fridays off. It gives us something to look forward to! Since it was my first time being alone with Thatch for a full day we did a lot of learning. We decided we would take Jimmy some lunch while he was the Pastor-On-Duty. It was a learning experience to bring Thatch into Subway and to order and carry out our food, all while holding him in his car-seat. And people were commenting to me about how small he is. Needless to say, I got really sweaty and flustered. From that trip I learned that there is no longer such thing as "running real quick" into a store. I love it though. It is so fun to experience and learn these lessons first hand. This week we also attempted to go grocery shopping. Thatch Attack and I went to Trader Joes. I carried him in his Moby Wrap and he slept the whole time. It was not nearly as scary as I had anticipated.

Also this week we did some more hanging and lunch dates with my mom, Lisa and Wyatt. The five of us also took a mini day trip to go see Grandma. It was her first time meeting Thatcher. Grammy is such a good great-grandma. She made Thatch the most amazing quilt! We love it and Thatch loves to do his tummy time on it!

Saturday morning we woke up and walked to get some doughnuts from the famous doughnut shop, Petersons. Yummy!! Also that afternoon Lisa and Wyatt went back home. We were sad to see them go, but grateful for the time that we got to spend with them (Scott, thank you for sharing your family with us...we wish you were here too!). Also, that Saturday night was Brookie's bridal shower. It was the first time I left Thatcher. He was in good hands with his dad at home, but boy was it a strange feeling to drive away from my house without Thatch. He had always been with me for the past 9 and a half months. While Thatch and his Dad had some fun guy-time, my mom and I went to Brookie's shower. It was so good to see Brookie and to celebrate her upcoming marriage to Danny!

And with that here are our two week old photos of T-man!t

Family Photo Shoot!

On Mothers Day, Zach was so nice to take some pictures of Thatcher for his birth announcement and some pictures of our family. Thanks so much bud! We love you!!

Week One!

Our first week home was so special! Jimmy was able to take a week off of work and stay with Thatch and me. It was so much fun, we slept as much as possible, snuggled and smooched our little man and learned what it started to look like to be parents. We are so in love. It is crazy to feel such love for such a little person. I feel like I have known Thatcher my whole life but at the same time I feel like I have so much to learn about him. I have such a different outlook on love and I now love my parents so much more because I now understand what kind of love they have for me. During our first week home we celebrated Katie's birthday with a fiesta and I celebrated my first Mothers Day! Thatch was only 8 days old! Jimmy and Thatcher got me beautiful white roses (my favorite) and a very sweet card. Later in the day we went to my parents house and walked to the Bernardo Winery Craft Fair. We finished the night at Daves BBQ for dinner. Lisa and Wyatt were still in town so we got to enjoy lots of time with them. Wyatt was so sweet to his new cousin baby Thatcher. I'll let the pictures do most of the talking. It's amazing...he grows right in front of my eyes!
