Friday Family Fun Day.

As usual Friday is in the Robeson home what we call "Friday Family Fun Day". This is because Jimmy has every Friday off of work so we try to do something really fun together as a family.

This Friday we woke up and walked to bagels. We pretty much do this every Friday and have even made friends with an older couple. They go to bagels every Monday-Friday and sometimes on Saturday so we see them almost every time we are there. They love to see and talk to Thatcher and its always a fun way to start the day. After bagels we walked home and put Thatcher down for a nap. While he was napping Jimmy and I got ready to go and packed up our lunches because we decided it was the perfect day to go to Safari Park.

When Thatcher woke up we got him ready really quickly and headed out. We got to the park at lunch time so right away we found a cozy spot and we all ate lunch. Thatcher has been a very happy eater and so I have just decided to feed him what Jimmy and I ate- corn and zucchini fritters. Yum. I mixed his with tofu and he loved it!

After lunch we headed to the Safari Tram. Last time we went to the park there was an hour and a half line for the tram so we decided to wait to go on it. This time we walked right u has to wait maybe 5 minutes and headed out on the safari. It was so fun! I had never been on the Safari and it was so cool to see all of the animals you don't get to see on foot at the park. The safari lasted about 30 minutes and then we decided to walk around to the parts of the park we had not seen yet. We saw so many cool animals! Thatcher loves to see the animals. We have a backpack carrier that we got off of ebay for 30$ and it has been the best investment ever. Thatcher loves to ride in it and its perfect for the zoo/safari park.

After walking around a little longer we decided it was time to head home for Thatcher to take his other nap. He was so exhausted he slept from 2:45 to 5:10 and only woke up because we woke him up for dinner! We had a fun cozy night in making dinner followed by a pit stop to look for cozy jammies for Thatcher. I had been on the hunt for a while since he's out growing his current pair and luckily found some! Overall it was a really fun "Friday Family Fun Day"- I will say its one of my favorite things that we get to do together!

Sitting Up.

Yesterday Thatcher woke up really early from his morning nap. He only slept about 45 minutes before waking up. I went into his room to check on him to see if he was just making noise to get comfortable or if he was making noise because he was awake. When I opened the door I saw the little guy sitting up all on his own!! I had been wondering for a while when he was going to learn to push him self up to sit up and so I was so surprised to see his face smiling at me when I opened the door. I ran to get my phone and snapped this picture. I thought it may have been a one time thing but yesterday when we were playing and this morning when he woke up he was sitting up all on his own! Such a big guy!!

This Guy.

I think my little man has had another growth spurt. He is looking older and older to me. I snapped this picture on Saturday and just fell in love with his chubby cheeks in it! As he is approaching 9 months I feel like I no longer have a little baby I have a moose of a little man! How could you not want to eat these cheeks up?!

Fun Things.

We have been doing lots of fun things lately as a little family of three. Here are a few photos of life lately.

Played around on the floor during Jimmy's lunch break.

Tried out "The Counter" and LOVED it!

Learned to make tortillas from Grams and
have made them 2 times since learning all on my own!

Turned our table into a chalk board. Color #4 for this table!

Went to World Curry before dropping Jimmy at the airport.

Did a late night run to Costco.

New Cousins!

Great news!!! We have two new babes in the family!

I am just so in love with these two babes words can not describe!

Safari Park & The San Diego Zoo!

For Christmas this year my parents gave Thatcher and I a very exciting gift- a pass to the Safari Park and to the Zoo!! I am especially excited about this gift because it is a pass that allows me to bring Thatcher and a guest of my choice in for free every time I go and I get free parking!! How exciting is that!

A few days after Christmas Jimmy, Thatcher and I headed to Safari Park. We picked up some Subway on the way and really really enjoyed ourselves. We walked around and saw gorillas, monkeys, giraffes, elephants, lions and flamingos and that was only half of the park! The reason I am so excited about this pass is Safari park is about 5 minutes from our house and so we can pop over anytime we want and not feel pressure to stay all day! Thatcher absolutely loves being outside so it is such a fun treat!

A week ago we decided to go to the Zoo for Friday family fun day. The zoo was so amazing and we got to see so many animals. We even got to ride on the sky-fari for free with our pass! We loved the zoo so much and can not wait to go back. We are planning on going to the zoo this weekend with my parents so they can experience the fun gift that they gave us!

Thanks again Dad and Mom!!

The Zoo!

8 Months!

Even though Thatchy is technically now 8 1/2 months old, I didn't want to miss out on my 8 month post. On December 30th Thatcher Ace turned 8 months old. He now has 5 teeth, at the time he turned 8 months he had 4 teeth. He is a scooting maniac! He is getting faster and faster everyday and he is getting funnier and funnier everyday!

I am loving watching him experience the world. He is so curious and he takes everything in. He started eating cheerios and loves to feed them to himself. Thatcher also when he turned 8 months dropped his third nap and only takes two naps now which I am loving. He is awake more during the day which is not only fun for playing with him but also for being able to run more errands. Along with being awake more Thatcher is eating more and more solids. He is now eating solids three times a day and milk three times a day. He is loving try new foods (he even gets to have spices in his food now) ! I am having a lot of fun making all of the food for him.

Thatcher is such a happy-go-lucky easy-going little guy I am just very blessed by him! My love for him is growing more and more everyday which is just crazy to me to see how much love there is in my heart! And now for a bunch of photos of my little 8 month old mongoose!

Thatchers First Christmas.

We have had a very busy Christmas season and now that things have settled down I can collect my brain and pull my thoughts together!

We were very lucky and got to celebrate christmas not once, not twice, but three times this year! We celebrated Christmas as our little family of three on Christmas. I made cinnamon rolls on the 22nd and we saved them to eat on Christmas morning. We decided that maple frosting cinnamon rolls would be our family's christmas tradition we added this year.

We woke up on Christmas Eve morning got all cozy and opened gifts. We wrapped the little gifts we got Thatcher and it was really fun to see him open them. Granted he really had no idea what was going on but he seemed to enjoy opening his gifts and seeing what Santa left in his stocking. After opening our gifts we heated up our cinnamon rolls and made eggs and ate breakfast together. Thatcher took his nap as we got ready to head over to my parents and to go to church. Resonate had a Christmas Eve service this year that Jimmy lead worship for. It was really nice to be able to celebrate in our home service.

After church we went to my parents house and had tamales for dinner. YUM. Grams made a bunch of tamales and made me my own chile and cheese ones. We watched Christmas Vacation and then every one headed to bed.

When we woke up on Christmas morning Santa had arrived! My dad handed out all of the gifts like he always does and we opened them one at a time. We missed the Zaballos family this year, but it was an off year and Reesey was only a few weeks old. Next year Christmas will be so much fun with all the babes together!

Christmas day was very laid back, cozy, eating yummy food and relaxing. I love spending time at my parents house it just feels like home!

A few days after Christmas we went over to Jimmy's parents to celebrate Christmas with his dad, mom and sister. Jimmys parents were in Chicago celebrating christmas with his brother Scott on Christmas day. I made dinner and dessert and took it over. It was a really fun night catching up and opening gifts! It was fun celebrating a few days after christmas because it extended the celebrating for us!

Overall we had a very blessed christmas! We were beyond blessed with very nice gifts, but more importantly we were blessed to spend quality time with our families who we love so much. Thatchy was at such a fun age at Christmas my heart was just so happy. Having a child at Christmas makes it even more special to see them experiencing things for the fist time!
